I have started to restore some old photos that I have kept through my life, transfer them to digital and repair and enhance where needed. I haven’t restored photos before so its a learning curve, the tool I am using at the moment is Adobe Photoshop Express (Free). I will be testing other tools as I work through my pile of photos. I also get at least 2 other benefits from this, the first is I wanted to start a blog and get some of my thoughts out, I’ve never been a blogger, mainly been a keep it all in private guy, not a Facebook fanatic or tweeter twit, I am an IT guy by heart, a techie engineer, and in creating a blog I have reason to dive into WordPress a bit more and find out some of the tools and functions it has and use my mind to be a bit more creative, the second reason is restoring photos is quite meditative, focussed in the moment, it does take a few hours to restore photos, well it did this one anyway.
The first photo I have restored is of me and my sister, taken at Xmas when we lived in Hythe, Kent.

This photo had taken a battering, one of my favourites but had stuck to another photo and wasn’t in a good way.
Its all a work in progress, a clearing and sorting of the mind whilst I work out my goals and direction, I’m at a happy calm place and time in my life, gathering my thoughts, the website is developing and changing, the first idea is not always if ever the best, lucky for me I have plenty of time to keep changing my mind.
